KUCHING: Yayasan Perpaduan Sarawak (YPS) conducted its annual brainstorming retreat on Jan 18-19 in Sematan, bringing together all staff to strategise and align its initiatives for the year ahead and beyond.
The retreat focused on the strategic planning and brainstorming for this year’s programme, as well as designing strategic plans for the next five-year initiatives.
“The session included a performance review to gauge the foundation’s past and current performance, with the goal of producing recommendations for improvement across all relevant aspects over the next five years,” it said in a statement.
The retreat also provided a platform to establish a framework for securing an annual grant from the state government starting from 2026, ensuring the foundation’s long-term sustainability.
YPS added that proposed programmes will be further refined and presented to its Board of Trustees for deliberation and approval.
“Additionally, the brainstorming session provided an opportunity to discuss action plans and key results areas (KRAs) that align with YPS’ mission and vision.
“A five-year strategic trajectory model was also discussed to ensure the foundation’s continued relevance, sustainability, and effectiveness in promoting unity across Sarawak and Malaysia,” it added.
