KUCHING: The 16th Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Triennial General Meeting (TGM) serves as a crucial platform for the party’s youth wing to engage with senior leaders and gain valuable political exposure.

Young leaders from various branches expressed their enthusiasm about participating in the assembly, emphasising the importance of youth involvement in shaping Sarawak’s future.

For many of them, the event marks their first experience in a major political gathering, providing them with opportunities to network, exchange ideas, and better understand PBB’s vision and mission.

They believe that active participation in such assemblies will strengthen their role in the party and contribute to Sarawak’s political and economic development.

Gilbert Ubam Law, Deputy Youth Chief of Katibas branch, 21 years old:
This is my first time participating in the assembly, and it is an honour for the PBB Youth Wing. Here, we have the opportunity to meet and discuss with other party members. As PBB youth, we hope to gain experience from this gathering and showcase the role of PBB youth to the public.

Dyg Nur Atiqah Zainirra Awang Zaini, Youth Chief of Repok branch, 28 years old:
The participation of youth in the TGM is to gain knowledge and experience because we understand that we are the future leaders of Sarawak. We hope that by attending this assembly, we will become stronger in defending PBB and gain a deeper understanding of the party’s vision and mission for Sarawak.

Mohd Hafiszul Firdaus Ahmad Nasfu, Youth Chief of Dudong branch, 22 years old:
The 16th PBB TGM provides valuable political knowledge so that we can inherit the contributions made by the party leadership to the youth. Our hope is for the development of the education and business sectors that will bring benefits to the people of Sarawak.

This is a platform for youth to get involved in politics, not only in urban areas but also in rural areas. The participation of PBB youth in the 16th PBB TGM is our first opportunity to observe how the party’s election system works.
