BINTULU: A total of 100 students from SK Agama Bintulu, SMK Kemena, and SMK Baru gathered at Dewan Seri Kenyalang, Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu Campus (UPMKB), for the Child Protection Advocacy Programme: Anti-Drugs and Community 2024.
Themed “Mind Revolution: Drug Challenges Among Adolescents, Children and Families,” the programme aimed to educate young people about the dangers of drug abuse.
ADAP Capital’s executive chairman Pengiran Datuk Daud Pengiran Putera stressed the importance of drug awareness, especially among the youth.
“Education and awareness of drug abuse symptoms are crucial proactive steps to prevent this growing problem,” Daud said on behalf of the Jepak assemblyman Iskandar Turkee today (Dec 20).
He added that expanding knowledge about the dangers of drugs is essential for achieving the nation’s sustainable development goals, particularly in health and well-being.
Daud urged participants to resist negative influences and focus on their studies for a brighter future.
