XIAOMI has officially launched the new 13T series for the Malaysian market, together with its latest pair of wearables, the Watch 2 Pro and Smart Band 8.
The Watch 2 Pro sports a 1.43-inch circular AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 600 nits. It is encased in stainless steel with a rotating crown on the side and has a 5 ATM rating for water resistance. The device runs on the flagship
Qualcomm Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 chipset with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. For connectivity, it supports cellular 4G through eSIM, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.2 — it even has built-in GPS for more accurate route tracking.
It comes with the usual bells and whistles, including sensors to track your heart rate, blood oxygen levels, sleep, and more, while offering over 150 sports modes for workout tracking and analysis. Powering it is 495 mAh battery, which boasts up to 55 hours of use.
On the other hand, the more affordable Smart Band 8 is equipped with a 1.62-inch pill-shaped AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 600 nits. On the protection side, the screen is layered with Corning Gorilla Glass 3, while the whole device has a 5 ATM water resistance rating.
The device is powered by an Apollo Blue Lite chipset and only offers Bluetooth 5.1 for connectivity. It also has over 150 sports modes, and it can be clipped to your shoelaces for more accurate running data, with sensors for your vitals. The brand equipped this device with a 150mAh battery that can last up to 16 days.
Xiaomi announced that the Watch 2 Pro will retail for RM1,199, while the Smart Band 8 can be purchased for RM199.
However, early birds can get the band at a discounted price of RM159 from September 27 to October 22 on Lazada and Shopee. Currently, Xiaomi lists the Watch 2 Pro as “coming soon”, so there’s no confirmation on when it will be officially available.
