KAPIT: In conjunction with World Women’s Day, a delegation from the Women’s Wing of Kapit Foochow Association (KFA) yesterday morning paid a visit to Kapit Community-Based Children Rehabilitation Centre (PDK Kapit) at Taman Cham Ung Hwa here.

Leading the delegation was its chairperson, Anita Wong who presented monetary gifts in the form of angpow to the special needs children at the day care centre.

Anita Wong explained that the visit was one of their activities to commemorate World Women Day, adding instead of throwing a dinner they decided to do something different – to visit the centre and show their care to those children with special needs.

“Previously, we would organise a dinner for members to celebrate the occasion. This time, we have decided to do something more meaningful,” said Wong.

On hand to welcome the women delegation were the centre’s supervisor, Ting Bee Eng and secretary, Stanley Ling Bee Chong.

Earlier, Hock Leong Bank employees here had paid a similar visit to the centre and handed over some personal donations for the centre to carry out its activities.
