KUCHING: A woman in her 20s had her handbag snatched by an unknown man who was trailing her while she was riding a motorcycle along Mile 5, Matang here yesterday.

According to sources, in the 3pm incident, the victim was riding alone and her handbag was placed in the front compartment of the motorcycle.

It is believed that the victim had been targeted by the suspect as he was trailing her for a while on a motorcycle.

When the opportunity came, she was suddenly approached by the man, who snatched her handbag and fled the scene. The victim lost her balance and fell.

The victim sustained injuries to her face and other parts of her body. She was brought to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) by a passer-by.

It is understood that a police report had been lodged for further action.
