BINTANGOR: A 31-year-old woman lost her life in a single-vehicle accident along Jalan KJD Batu Wong in Bintangor.
The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre reported receiving an emergency call about the accident at 7.15 am. Bomba Bintangor personnel were immediately dispatched to the scene.
The victim, identified as Penny Rintan Ngelambong, was found pinned inside her overturned vehicle in a roadside ditch.
Rescue teams extricated the victim from the vehicle but despite their efforts, medical personnel from the Ministry of Health confirmed her death at the scene.
The victim was subsequently handed over to the police for further investigation and necessary action.
