KUCHING: UCSI University will be organising an online Tobacco-Free awareness campaign in conjunction with World No Tobacco Day.
Titled “Why Quit? How Addicted Are You?”, the webinar is organised in collaboration with the Society for Cancer Advocacy and Awareness (SCAN) Kuching and Borneo Medical Centre (BMC).
The webinar will be held on May 21 from 2pm to 4pm.
The speaker is Dr Wong Jyi Lin, who is a respiratory physician from BMC while Kuching SCAN president Chris Chieng will be giving the opening remarks.

Meanwhile, The Tobacco Atlas website stated that more than 29,000 Malaysians suffered from tobacco-related diseases every year.
“At the same time, more than 44,000 children (10-14 years old) and 45,2800 adults (15 years old and above) continue to use tobacco every day.”
