KUCHING: The Sarawak Housing and Real Estate Developers’ Association (SHEDA) will hold a webinar entitled ‘Implementing Best Practices for Strata Living in Sarawak’ for the benefit of strata homeowners.

The event will be held online on Feb 11 (Saturday) from 10 am to 12 noon and is supported by the Ministry of Public Health, Housing and Local Government.

“Both SHEDA and the ministry agree that there are many advantages of an online mode, notably that participants from across Sarawak will be able to access the session from the comfort of their own homes,” it said in a statement.

The webinar will emphasise on Strata Management Ordinance 2019 and Strata (Management and Maintenance) Regulations 2022. Its main objectives include educating strata stakeholders on the roles, responsibilities and obligations associated with strata living; empowering them to contribute and be involved in meetings and Joint Management Bodies (JMBs); and encouraging collaboration necessary to successfully managing and maintaining the overall standards of strata living in Sarawak.

“This is a golden opportunity for homeowners to get answers directly from the ministry. Upon registration, homeowners will also be given an opportunity to submit their questions ahead of the event,” it added.

In addition to existing strata homeowners, SHEDA also highly recommends the participation of individuals interested in purchasing strata-titled properties in Sarawak, joint management committee members, property managers, real estate negotiators and agents, as well as auditors.

Registration can be made via https://t.ly/9E27 . Multiple payment options are also available, including SPayGlobal. For further queries, contact SHEDA at 082-366 334, 016-897 2723 (Michelle) or 016-578 9541 (Florence).
