The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for thunderstorms and heavy rainfall expected to occur in several areas of Sarawak until 12 noon today (Jun 27).
The affected areas in Sarawak include Sri Aman, Betong, Saratok, Sarikei, Pakan, Julau, Meradong, Sibu, and Kanowit.
The thunderstorm warning is a short-term alert valid for a period not exceeding six hours for a specific area (issued at 9:05 am).
