KUCHING: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued an alert-level continuous rain warning for Sarawak, with rainfall expected from Monday (Jan 27) to Thursday (Jan 30).
The affected areas in Sarawak include Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah, Kapit(Song and Kapit), Bintulu, and Miri (Subis, Beluru, Miri, and Marudi).
In Sabah, continuous rain is forecasted for the West Coast (Ranau and Kota Belud), Tawau (Lahad Datu), Sandakan (Telupid, Kinabatangan, Beluran, and Sandakan), and Kudatfrom Jan 27 to Jan 29.
Residents in the affected areas are advised to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety during this period.
