MIRI: The divisional disaster management committee (DDMC) here launched four Covid-19 vaccination promotional videos today.
Miri DDMC chairman Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusuf, who is also acting Miri Resident, said the videos aimed to provide information and awareness to the community.
Three of the videos featured four important individuals — Sarawak Transport Minister Datuk Lee Kim Shin, also minister in-charge of Miri DDMC; Datuk Dr Fam Tem Lom, a specialist at Miri Hospital; Dr Faizul Mansoor, former Miri health officer from 1983 to 2014, and former national athlete Watson Nyambek.
“The videos are 1:29 minutes, 1:13 minutes, 52 seconds and 56 seconds and are in four languages – English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin and Iban.
“They provide information and awareness, especially on the importance of getting vaccinated. They also include general information on the vaccine, which is expected to be given to the public through Phase 2 and 3, to begin in April.”
Abdul Aziz again reminded the public to register themselves for Covid-19 vaccination.
“I would like to once again remind the public to register themselves through the MySejahtera application or through the other four methods as recommended by Miri DDMC.
“I hope that everyone will continue to be vigilant and follow standard operating procedures.”
