KUCHING: The Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) is calling on the public to participate in its upcoming Used Cooking Oil Buyback Programme, aimed at promoting environmental sustainability and waste reduction.

In a statement posted on its official Facebook page recently, DBKU highlighted that the event will be held tomorrow (March 2) from 8 am to 12 pm at the Penview Convention Centre (PCC) , Demak, here.

Public are encouraged to bring their filtered used cooking oil and will be compensated based on the weight of oil collected.

DBKU emphasised that the programme is part of its ongoing efforts to maintain a clean environment while encouraging the responsible disposal and recycling of used cooking oil.

“Bring your filtered used cooking oil and receive payment based on the collected oil’s weight. This initiative is a chance to help protect the environment and contribute to a greener future.

“Don’t miss this opportunity to make a positive impact. Bring your used cooking oil and let’s work together for a cleaner, more sustainable future,” it said.
