SIMANGGANG: The project to upgrade the drainage system at Rumah James Tekat Ranggie is expected to bring significant benefits to the local community, particularly in reducing the risk of flooding.

According to Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation, and Talent Development cum Simanggang assemblyman, Datuk Francis Harden Hollis, the project, with an approved ceiling cost of RM300,000, is expected to be fully completed by July 18 this year.

“The contractor was appointed through a ballot process, and is required to complete the project within the stipulated time frame of six months,” he said.

He was officiating at the handover of the project site to the owner of Munggu Salau Enterprise, Albert Kambun Bandang, at Rumah James Tekat Ranggie, Kampung Nanga Skrang, recently.

The symbolic handover was also witnessed by the division engineer from the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID), Mazolizam Mohamad, along with Tuai Rumah James Tekat Ranggie.
