SIMANGGANG: A drainage system upgrade at Rh James Tekat Ranggie, Kampung Nanga Skrang, with a ceiling cost of RM300,000, has recently been funded under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP).
Deputy Minister for Education, Innovation and Talent Development, Datuk Francis Harden Hollis said this initiative addresses the residents’ request for better facilities from the government.
The Simanggang assemblyman reminded and advised the contractor selected through the draw process to complete the project within the stipulated period of six months, from January 20 to July 18.
“We are grateful to the state government for consistently addressing the facility needs of people in development-seeking areas by allocating RM5 million annually to Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) representatives.
“A stable geopolitical government ensures rapid development as it focuses solely on state development efforts and increasing revenue without being entangled in unstable politics,” he said.
He said this in his speech during the Project Site Handover Ceremony for the Drainage System Upgrade at Rh James Tekat Ranggie, Kampung Nanga Skrang, under the implementing agency of the Drainage and Irrigation Department, Sri Aman Division on Jan 24.
Harden officiated at the handover to Munggu Salau Enterprise owner Albert Kambun Bandang, witnessed by DID Division engineer Mazolizam Mohamad, James Tekat Ranggie, and other representatives from Kampung Nanga Skrang.
Present at the ceremony were engineer Azizi Dahlan, assistant engineers from DID, Ahmad Sharil Suhaili and Janie Munan, Sri Aman District Iban community leader, Pemanca Denneil Saweng, and Gerunsen Nyelang from Simanggang Service Centre.
