KUCHING: Member of Parliament for Serian Datuk Seri Richard Riot Jaem equates the unity government to a very inclusive government.

According to a news report by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS), Riot said the federal government cabinet members comprise ministers of various races be it Malay, Chinese, Indian, Iban and Kadazan Dusun, which makes Malaysia the best example in displaying the concept of acceptance of diversity.

As such, he also expressed hope that the fourth largest race in Sarawak which is the Bidayuh, could also become members of the Dewan Rakyat or cabinet in the future.

“This Bidayuh tribe, I am one of them. We have some Bidayuh representatives in this August house which are three MPs namely Serian (Riot himself), Puncak Borneo (Datuk Willie Mongin) and also Mas Gading (Mordi Bimol),” he said when debating on the motion of thanks for the Royal Address  at the Dewan Rakyat on Tuesday evening (Feb 21).
