KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud yesterday received a courtesy call by a delegation led by Archbishop of the Catholic Church Kuching the Most Rev Simon Poh at Demak Jaya, here.
Accompanying the archbishop in the delegation were Monsignor William Sabang, Father Dato Lawrence Chua and Superior General of the Sisters of St. Francis of Sarawak, Sister Flora Tingang.
The call was to introduce to the Head of State that Most Rev Simon Poh is the new Archbishop of the Catholic Church who took over from Archbishop Emeritus Datuk John Ha starting from 20 Mac 2017.
