KUCHING: Two residents of Kampung Kudei Baru Iban received solar lights and installation was done by non-governmental organisation (NGO) Hope Place on Thursday (March 3).
Michael Tugat, a 53-year-old physically disabled man lives alone without any electricity or clean water supply.
His only source of water is from the rainwater he collected and he has been receiving food aid from Hope Place since 2015.
Another recipient of the solar light was Insimau Inyok. The 65-years-old widow, who lives alone, and receives financial aid from the Sarawak Social Welfare (JKM).
The solar lights were donated by a group from Australia and Hope Place expressed its gratitude for their generosity and hoped that the recipients would have a more comfortable living condition from now onwards.

Their opening hours are from 8am to 5pm, Mondays to Fridays, and 8am to 12 on Saturdays.
