SIMUNJAN: An accident at Kampung Spaoh Kuari, Jalan Simunjan Lama here claimed two lives on Thursday.
According to the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), one of the deceased was identified as 47-year-old Nicholas Engkati. The other victim, believed to be of Bangladeshi origin, remains unidentified due to a lack of identification documents.
Despite efforts of rescuers from the Simunjan fire station to extricate the victims from the overturned vehicle, both were declared dead at the scene by the paramedics.
