KUCHING: A 29-year-old man was found dead in a room located on the third floor of a building at Jalan Demak yesterday morning.
The victim was identified as Mexson Malina, from Rumah Malina
Sepupok, Ulu Batu Niah, Miri.
Kuching Police District chief, ACP Abang Ahmad Julai said a police team was dispatched to the scene after they were informed of the discovery by members of the public at 7.00am.
He said the police did not find any signs of foul play and they managed to contact the victim’s family.
Abang Ahmad said they body was taken to the Sarawak General Hospital for a post mortem and the case was classified as sudden death pending the outcome of the post mortem.
In a separate incident, an unidentified man was found dead at a vacant building near a supermarket at Jalan Matang here at 1.30am yesterday.
A police team was called to the scene to investigate and they found no signs of foul play.
The body was later taken to the Sarawak General Hospital for a post mortem.
The case was classified as sudden death pending the result of the post mortem.
