BINTULU: Two foreign nationals succumbed to death while another was injured after being pinned under shards of glass and trapped inside a container in a harrowing incident at a factory here.
The Fire and Rescue Department, in a statement today (Jan 3), said they received a distress call about the incident involving the three Indonesians workers at 10.29 am on the same day.
“Upon arrival, the firefighters discovered one victim in a conscious state and two others unconscious,” said the statement.
The department added that after they successfully extricated the victims, the two unconscious victims were pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
“The bodies of the victims were subsequently handed over to the police for further investigation and action,” he said.
Another victim was handed over for further medical attention.
The operation ended at 1.06 pm.
