MUKAH: The Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) mini convention at Sibu was admitted to be in preparation for the coming 12th State Election.
Tellian Assemblyman Yussibnosh Balo made this admission via WhatsApp when asked by New Sarawak Tribune about the convention on Saturday (Oct 3).
“Yes, it is done with such aim (in preparing for the coming state polls),” he said through the social media application.
The former Balingian assemblyman together with other PBB Tellian Branch committee members were joining other party members in converging for the convention.
According to him, the convention also covered Mukah, Igan and Tanjung Manis Parliamentary constituencies apart from other constituencies in the central region.
It is learned that over 900 delegates from the party’s 26 branches in the central region of the state attended the special convention.
Yussibnosh, on Friday (Oct 2) was quoted in an online new portal as saying that, PBB election machinery in Tellian constituency was fully prepared for the coming state polls, which would be held at any time.
The term of the current state legislative assembly expires on July 7, 2021.
