KUCHING: Trienekens (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd, the driving force behind Sarawak’s Integrated Waste Management System (IWMS), has secured the prestigious IKM Laboratory Excellence Award for 2023.
This accolade, their ninth win since 2015, commends the company’s unwavering dedication to delivering top-notch laboratory testing services in compliance with local legislation, particularly in health, safety, and environmental domains.
Trienekens Group CEO Stephen Chin expressed gratitude, attributing the achievement to the team’s professionalism.
He underscored the award’s significance as a testament to the laboratory’s commitment to efficiency and high-quality services, ensuring customers receive reliable, accurate, and confidential results.
Chin outlined the company’s commitment to optimising operations, aiming to set new industry benchmarks and prioritise customer satisfaction.
He acknowledged the Sarawak government’s trust and support, crediting them for Trienekens’ continuous success.
The IKM Laboratory Excellence Award, hosted by the Malaysian Institute of Chemistry, honours laboratories excelling in analytical work.
During the ceremony at Selangor’s One World Hotel, Trienekens’ Process Chemist, Nurul Afina Sumed, proudly accepted the award on behalf of the company from ChM Halimah Abdul Rahim, Registrar of IKM Council.
Trienekens (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd operates the IWMS, seamlessly managing the collection, transportation, treatment, and disposal of municipal and scheduled waste in Sarawak.
Their stewardship extends to the Kuching Integrated Waste Management Park, featuring a comprehensive facility for municipal and hazardous waste treatment, including a Level 4 Sanitary Landfill, Secure Landfill, Leachate Wastewater Treatment Plant, Incineration Plants, Waste Oil Distillation Plant, and a full-service laboratory, showcasing their commitment to responsible waste management.
