Trienekens announces early waste collection ahead of Chinese New Year

KUCHING: In preparation for the upcoming Chinese New Year (CNY), Trienekens (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd will implement early waste collection services in selected areas with a Wednesday collection schedule.

The collection will be carried out on the eve of CNY, Jan 28, starting at 5am, ensuring a cleaner environment for the festivities. There will be no waste collection on the first day of CNY, Jan 29, and services will resume according to the regular schedule on Jan 30.

The early collection initiative will cover neighbourhoods under the jurisdiction of the Commission of the City of Kuching North (DBKU), Council of the City of Kuching South (MBKS), and Padawan Municipal Council (MPP).

In DBKU areas, the neighbourhoods include Jalan Nanas Barat, Sunrise Garden, Happy Garden, Sin Lian Hin Garden, Jalan Intan, Jalan Eastern, Jalan Evergreen Garden, and Lorong Pisang Barat 11.

Other areas include Lorong Sungai Maong Tengah 7 and 7A, Taman Mayling, Taman Gigantic, Regent Heights, Jalan Datuk Temenggong Tan Meng Chong, Jalan Taman Budaya, Jalan Tan Sri Ong Kee Hui, Lorong Kapor, and Jalan Evergreen Garden.

In MBKS areas, the locations include Jalan Chong Ted Tsiung, Kenyalang Park, Jalan Nangka, Taman Ridgeway, and various Lorong Chawan.
Other impacted areas are Jalan Central Timur, Taman Seng Goon, Jalan Benggang, Richmond Hill, Jalan Golden Farm, and Lorong Lapangan Terbang.

In MPP areas, the neighbourhoods covered include Blessed Garden 3, Taman Tapang Emas, Liberty Grove, Green Acres Estate, Moyan Link Flat, Taman Punica, Taman Genesis, Taman Sarmax, and other residential areas within Moyan and Batu Kawa.

Residents are reminded to place their wheelie bins outside early on collection day to avoid missed services. Extra waste should be securely packed and placed next to the bins for proper disposal.

Trienekens also urged residents to maintain cleanliness by refraining from indiscriminate disposal of waste.
