MERADONG: A significant step has been taken to alleviate the persistent traffic congestion affecting the route to SJK (C) Kung Cheng following the completion of road expansions project around the school.

“The completion of the project will solve the traffic congestion, especially on school days, thus providing comfort to the school’s residents and the local residents,” said Meradong assemblyman, Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing during the handover ceremony of the completion of the Rural Transformation Program (RTP) Project held at the school here today (Dec 16).

Ding also expressed his thanks to two landowners for their cooperation in the road widening initiative.

“Their willingness to contribute land space facilitated the road expansion leading to the school,” he said.

Further demonstrating his support for the school, Ding acknowledged a request by the school’s headmaster, Chiew Hua Kin, for additional facilities, including a vehicle stop hut for parents and a dedicated roadway for easing congestion.

Addressing another critical issue, he assured that the water supply pressure problem is expected to be resolved by year’s end, following the installation of a new water pipe connection from the Sungai Bulat booster pump to Jalan KJD Bintangor.

“The process of installing the new water pipe could not be carried out earlier due to the ongoing construction of Jalan Pan Borneo,” he explained.
