“The contractors have given an assurance that the junction will open to the public from tomorrow afternoon and they are now in the final phase to ensure everything is in order,” he said.

The junction was closed last July to make way for the construction of the Pan Borneo Highway project which included the Mile 7 flyover.

Meanwhile, JKR Sarawak Pan Borneo Highway Unit deputy head Siti Rafizah Mohd Kasiran said with the opening of the Mile 7 junction tomorrow (Oct 12), the contractor would start closing the Mile 6 junction for the construction of the Mile 6 flyover starting Oct 15.
