KUCHING: Thirteen Toastmasters Clubs in Kuching will co-organise a series of community engagement programmes from August 30 to September 1, 2025, aimed at developing communication and leadership skills among the community.
Division D Director of Toastmasters International District 87, Dr Lucy Ho Jia Yiing said the programmes included workshops on effective communication skills and the 13th Youth Communication Camp.
“These initiatives reflect one of the key takeaways from the recent Toastmasters Leadership Institute (TLI) Training for Club Officers in Kuching.
“The aim is to encourage the community to take the first step toward honing their communication and leadership abilities,” she said in a statement yesterday.
Dr Ho added that the event also offered an opportunity to introduce the Presentation Mastery Pathway, a platform tailored for college and university students and professionals seeking to enhance their presentation skills.
The TLI training, themed “Dream It, Do It,” was held on Nov 30 at i-CATS University College here.
“Our club officers have embraced agility, creativity and digital technologies to lead effectively in today’s dynamic environment. These skills are instrumental in enhancing the support and resources available to our members,” said Ho.
In celebration of Toastmasters International’s 100th Anniversary, a dinner was held at Damai Lagoon Resort following the training.
