SIBU: Local Member of Parliament, Oscar Ling Chai Yew, has utilised the 2024 Program Mesra Rakyat Kerajaan Madani (PMR) allocation to provide teaching equipment to three more schools in Sibu Parliamentary constituency under the PMR.

The teaching equipment encompassed touch-screen TVs, sound systems, photocopiers, and projectors. The beneficiary schools include SJK (C) Tung Hua, SMK Deshon, and SMK Rosli Dhoby.

He stated that with continuous progress and development, schools here require enhanced electronic teaching equipment to facilitate teaching and help students achieve more effective learning outcomes through visual and auditory aids.

Ling mentioned that using the 2024 PMR allocation, he purchased three 86-inch touch-screen TVs along with blackboards to protect the screens for SJK (C) Tung Hua.

For SMK Deshon, he allocated funds for two portable speakers, four Bunsen burners for the science lab, eight projectors (with stands), six projector screens, two colour photocopiers, and four black-and-white photocopiers.

Additionally, for SMK Rosli Dhoby, he provided a complete sound system, 10 each for projector, HDMI cable, and projector screen, directly upgrading the school’s teaching equipment.
