KUCHING: Sri Aman police arrested three persons, two male and a female for peddling drugs recently. According to Head of Sarawak Narcotic, Supt. Sahar Bin Abd Latif police went to an oil palm estate on August 8 at about 3.30 pm and arrested two males both aged 52, and a female aged 27. All three were unemployed. Found on them were several bags and plastic containing syabu and ganja with the total weigh of RM10.90 grams.
Also seized was a home-made firearm with bullets. All the three were brought to the Sri Aman Police Station to undergo drug test.
They were all tested positive for drugs. The three will be charged under Section 39A of the dangerous drug Act 1952 and the person who owns the gun will be charged under Fire Arm Act. Initial investigation revealed that the trio started peddling drugs since 2014. All of them were ordered to be remanded for four days pending police investigation.
