KUCHING: Multifaceted performer and stand-up comedian Kumar will showcase his unique brand of humour in a solo comedy show at Pullman hotel here on July 27.
Recognised as a national Icon and one of South East Asia’s great performing artists, he will be tickling ribs with ‘The Fabulous Kumar’ show organised by a premier comedy entertainment company, LOL Events.
LOL Events chief executive officer Rizal Kamal said: “We are extremely excited to have Kumar in Kuching. As a stand-up comedian, Kumar is such a natural on stage, especially when gauging the exact mood of a crowd and hitting that sweet comedy spot.”
Kumar has been in the entertainment industry for more than 25 years and has been entertaining millions as a comedian, TV host, actor, dancer, director and author.
He is widely known among the South East Asian community for poking fun at all things controversial.
The comedy show here will exhibit Kumar’s best jokes and will feature Malaysia’s own, Brian Tan as an opening act. Brian has been in the comedy industry for seven years and was invited to perform at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival — the second biggest comedy festival in the world.
