MIRI: The lifeless body of a 19-year-old Thai woman was found inside a room of a house in Ocean Park here yesterday with several pieces of napkins tied up together around her neck.
The discovery was made by her in-laws, who are locals, around 8.30am.
The State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) head SAC Denis Leong Soon Kuai, when contacted, confirmed receiving the report on the discovery.
Police personnel and an ambulance with paramedics from the Miri Hospital were dispatched to the scene after responding to an alert on the discovery.
“No foul play was involved and the case is classified as sudden death,” he said.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
