KUCHING: During his official visit here today (Jan 16), the Regent of Pahang, Tengku Mahkota Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah Ibni Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, explored the Borneo Cultures Museum (BCM).

He arrived at approximately 1.10 pm, where he was warmly received by Deputy Minister of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development, Datuk Gerald Rentap Jabu, and Deputy Minister of Utility and Telecommunication, Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi.

At the museum, Tengku Hassanal was guided by BCM curator Yasmin Khalid Nicholls, gaining insights into the rich cultural heritage on display.

Earlier, he made stops at the offices of Petroleum Sarawak Berhad (PETROS) at ICOM Square and Menara Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) at Jalan Isthimus.

The evening’s itinerary for him featured attending a State Banquet, with by the presence of Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.

Tengku Hassanal’s schedule continues tomorrow (Wednesday) with a visit to the Semenggoh Wildlife Centre, followed by a tea party at Fort Margherita and Dataran Ibu Pertiwi in the afternoon.
