KUCHING: The routes in front of Paragon Concrete Sdn Bhd, Batu Kawah here will be temporarily closed for road upgrading works which will take effect from May 6 to August 15 at various times.
According to a notice issued by Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID) Sarawak, the routes that will be closed are along Jalan Kuching to Bau and Jalan Bau to Kuching.
“The road upgrading works will involve laying premix work in front of Paragon Concrete Sdn Bhd Batu Kawah.
“It will be carried out from May 15 to August 15 for routes from Jalan Bau to Kuching. The affected time is from 9.30 am to 11.30 am, 2 pm to 4.30 pm and 8 pm to 4 am,” the department said on Friday.
Meanwhile, for routes from Jalan Kuching to Bau, the upgrading works will be carried out from May 6 to August 15 and the affected time is from 9.30 am to 11.30 am, 2 pm to 4.30 pm and 8 pm to 4 am.
The department advised road users to drive carefully on the affected routes during the construction period and to adhere to all traffic management for safety precautions.
“DID will notify from time to time if there are any changes to the dates, times, or areas involved in these works.
“Road users are also advised to plan their journeys in the affected areas. We regret any inconvenience caused,” said DID.
