Temple receives RM600k UNIFOR grant

SARIKEI: Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii has secured a RM600,000 allocation from the Unit for Other Religions (UNIFOR) to support the construction of the Fu Gui Ting Tua Pek Kong Temple.
“In total, I have assisted Fu Gui Ting Tua Pek Kong Temple secure a total of RM2 million for the construction of this new temple,” Huang said in a statement.
The Sarikei MP recently visited the temple to deliver the UNIFOR allocation and, on behalf of Deputy Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew, contributed RM4,000 for a Sarawak-level singing competition.
He expressed satisfaction with the temple’s construction progress in the Meranti area, crediting the efforts of the committee, association members, and devotees.
