KUCHING: Tebedu is the latest district to be declared a green zone, joining 36 other green zones throughout the state.
Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a statement yesterday said, only three districts remained as yellow zone –Kuching, Sibu and Serian.
SDMC also reported no new positive Covid-19 cases in the state yesterday. The total number of cases remained at 545, 19 of whom were ‘re-tested positive’ cases.
There were five recoveries from the disease yesterday and all had been discharged from the hospitals.
This brings the total number of recovery cases to 464 or 85.14 percent of the total cases.
A total of 64 cases are still undergoing treatment at the hospitals, with no case at the intensive care unit (ICU) and no patients under intubation support.
The committee also reported nineteen more person-under-investigation (PUI) cases, with 133 still awaiting laboratory results.
On person-under-surveillance (PUS), the committee said there were 395 new cases as of yesterday, bringing the total to 2,665 PUS placed at 38 hotels throughout the state for quarantine.
Meanwhile, a total of 9,075 PUS has completed the quarantine period and had been allowed to return home.
The pandemic has resulted in 17 deaths in the state.
