SARIKEI: Teachers are called to be involved in the innovation aspect in improving digital education in schools in line with the main thrust of the Malaysian Ministry of Education (MOE).

Deputy Minister of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change, Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii said innovation in digital education will lead to an improvement in the quality of learning activities.

He hoped that the involvement of teachers who are skilled in the field of information and communication technology (ICT) will be able to help improve the academic achievement of students.

“This is also in line with Sarawak’s vision and mission under the leadership of Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg to make Sarawak a developed state by 2030.

“And I also hope that organising of an innovation competition like this will become an annual event and more teachers will participate in it to move the education in this district towards a more brilliant and relevant digital era,” he said.
