SIBU: Thirty-seven teachers and staff from two Chinese Independent Schools here were presented with RM500 special bonuses each today (Jan 3) by Sibu MP, Oscar Ling Chai Yew.
The two schools benefiting from this initiative are Guong Ming and Kiang Hin Middle Schools.
According to Ling, the special bonuses, derived from his MP allocation, were given to the two schools in his constituency in conjunction with the upcoming Chinese New Year festival.
He also mentioned that the special bonus presentation is in appreciation of their contributions to Chinese education.
“It is the third year we have rolled out this initiative,” Ling added.
