SANREMO: On the evening of the 16th Soloist World Championship award ceremony, young Malaysian talent, Taylor Louise, was honoured with a ‘World Finals Diploma and Special Mention’ from the Sanremo Junior Committee and Jury.
This recognition places Malaysia among the top five countries in the highly competitive 10-12 years old category.
With over 1,000 talented young singers vying for a spot, Taylor’s achievement in reaching the finals is a testament to her dedication and passion for her craft, and a proud moment for both Sarawak and Malaysia.
“I am deeply grateful to everyone who has supported me along this incredible journey.
“The experience of competing in Sanremo has been nothing short of extraordinary.
“I’m honoured to represent my home country, Malaysia, and to be part of this incredible event,” she shared.
“Receiving the Special Mention is a heartfelt honour that recognises the unique qualities of my performance, and it motivates me to keep growing as an artist.”
In addition to the recognition at Sanremo, Taylor received an official invitation to perform at the Macedonia International Music Festival 2025.
She was presented with her certificate by the director of the festival, Toni Aleksovki.
“I want to thank my fellow Sarawakians and Malaysians for all their love, support and cheer.
“Although I did not achieve a higher placement, I am committed to improving and continuing my journey.
“Every step I took on that stage was inspired by my love for Sarawak and my dedication to representing our community,” said Taylor.
Taylor also extended heartfelt thanks to her papa for sewing the beautiful dress she wore during the competition and to teacher, Sabrina, who has been a constant source of guidance and belief in her abilities.
“To all the winners at the Sanremo Junior World Finals, congratulations!
“Your achievements inspire me to keep striving for greatness.
“I look forward to growing, improving, and continuing my musical journey,” Taylor added.
