MUKAH: Taman Kala Dana Mukah beach could become as one of the major attractions for this fast growing district  if it were to be well-maintained  especially the clearing of the debris on the beach.

In fact Mukah has a beautiful beach for family outing or water sports if a more intensified effort were to be undertaken by the relevant authority.

It was so because for the last one week or so, the revelers were not only thronging the park or venue of Mukah Kaul 2017 but also its beach especially in the evening.

That scenario of crowd on the beach was very obvious after the mass cleaning and clearing of the beach called `Gotong-royong Perdana Kala Dana Tapak Pesta Kaul Mukah 2017”  which was organised by Dalat/Mukah District Council (MDDM), about two weeks ago.

Implemented under the council’s Community Development Programme, the springing up of the beach had attracted over 700 participants from various agencies including students in the area.

That  beach cleaning which had been an annual program for the council prior to the staging of this Melanau ethnic biggest festival should be held more frequent like quarterly to clear the floating debris that stranded on the beach.

Located about five minute drive from Mukah Town Centre, the beach is facing the scenic South China Sea.
