SIBURAN: Talent Outreach Training Centre is a platform to foster the new talents among young generation into sports. The launching ceremony of second training centre located at Padawan Sport Complexs, Siburan, was graced by Assistant Minister of Youth and Sports, Datuk Snowdan Lawan, yesterday.
“With the initiative organised by National Sports Institute, it will expand the involvement of sports in rural area as well as to the area that gains less sports exposure, “This initiative is in line with the state sports that is committed in development of the high sports performance to produce quality, excellent and competitive athletes, to make the state as the sports power house in the future,” said Snowdan.
For training centre in Siburan, athletics was choose among the other eight sports events which are conducted by the expert coach, Abang Sapani Abang Sarbini. National Sports Institute (ISN) Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Mohd Khairi Zawi said the participants will be exposed with strategic knowledge related to sports.
“The participants also will be exposed with the latest development related with the importance of science application and, medical and sports technology. “For this programme, ISN has eight sports events offered namely football, silat, karate, swimming, badminton, archery, athletics and rugby,” said Khairi.
