BINTULU: The Sarawak women’s sepak takraw team displayed an outstanding performance by defeating the Selangor team 2-1 in a fierce round robin women’s team event at Court A, Muhibah Stadium, yesterday afternoon (Aug 14).

Despite being down 2-0 in the first round, the fighting spirit of ‘Agi Idup, Agi Ngelaban’ instilled by head coach Thawinis Thongprasert did not waver.

They fought back with full determination in the second and third rounds of the match.

Although the Selangor team dominated the first set during the second round, Sarawak team managed to overcome the challenge and forced the match into a deciding set.

In the decider, Sarawak managed to secure a victory that allowed them to advance to the third round.

Despite trailing by one point in the first set of the third round, the spirit of the state team did not fade.

They continued to fight and eventually left Selangor far behind to claim a proud victory.
