KUCHING: Rising taekwondo duo Harry Daniel Hunter and Anuwath Sarat, from the Sarawak Taekwondo Association (WTF), have checked into the national team for the full-time centralised training programme.
The WTF athletes were among those who have been selected to join the national taekwondo poomsae squad recently.
“Congratulations to our young talents. The duo will check into the Bukit Jalil Sports Centre this weekend, joining fellow hometown seniors Nurul Humaira Abdul Karim, Randy Owen Augustine Linggi, and Fedealis Kom Twin.
Azizul commended them for their hard work, passion, and dedication, which earned them a spot on the national team, and expressed that the Sarawak Taekwondo Association (TM/WTF) couldn’t be prouder.
“This milestone serves as a testament to the strength of our state associations’ development programs and the relentless spirit of these athletes.
“As they step onto the international stage, I am confident they will shine and make Malaysia proud,” added Azizul.
