KUCHING: Minister for Education, Innovation, and Talent Development, Datuk Seri Roland Sagah Wee Inn, launched the Synthesis Magazine at the Hilton Hotel here on Wednesday.

Synthesis Sarawak aims to showcase innovative research undertaken by Sarawakian universities and research agencies and the achievements of Sarawakian researchers.

The magazine aims to make scientific advancements more accessible to the wider public, especially students, in order to fuel interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) careers.

New Sarawak Tribune had the opportunity to interview Dr Donald Stephen, the magazine’s editor.

“Our target audience is mostly the school students and also the public,” he said.

“For now, it’s all in English but we will probably use Sarawak local languages such as Iban later on,” he said.
