KUCHING: Sarawak B (junior squad) squad wish to achieve full points in the opening leg of the President Cup campaign 2017 was not come true after they loss 0-1 in the hand of Felda United FC at the State Stadium, Petra Jaya on Thursday.

The visiting player, Muhd Danial Amer Norhisham, scored the only goal from the outside the penalty box in the 70th minute.

The match was supposed to be in favour of the hosts as the homesters got seven chances at goal but failed to convert it.

“It was a bit disappointing that we’ve failed to achieve full points in the first match against Felda United F.C,” said Sarawak B coach S.Veloo.

According S.Veloo, the most frustrating moment was when the players failed to score despite the numerous of opportunities.

S.Veloo said the first half only already saw seven chances which failed to produce any goal.

“I believe that had we (Sarawak) produce an earlier goal, everything would have changed and we certainly would have won,” added S.Veloo.

Nevertheless, despite the loss on Thursday, he was confident their team can score goals in the second match against PDRM at Padang Utama, Pulapo on March 2.
