KUCHING: A suspect was nabbed after he tried to kill his mother over a financial matter. The incident happened in Kampung Astana near here when the suspect in his 20s asked his mother where his money was after he woke up on Thursday morning.
The suspect claimed that he had left the money in the kitchen but found it missing. His mother on the other hand said she never saw any money in the kitchen. The suspect then grabbed a chopper and chased after his mother.
After his mother managed to escape, the angry suspect started to smash things in their house. His mother who took refuge in their neighbour’s house then called the police. The suspect is being detained for further questioning.
