KUCHING: The Supa-Tuie-Manggut Service Centre Project (SCP) is in its second phase of implementation.

This was said by Assistant Minister for Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment Datu Haji Len Talif Salleh in response to a question by Mohammad Razi Sitam (GPS – Saribas) during the State Legislative Assembly sitting here yesterday.

“Phase 1 comprises components like land for commercial use, a community hall, a mosque, an agriculture station, government reserve, recreational activities as well as roads and drainage.

“For Phase 2, RM30 million has been requested in the 11th Malaysia Plan (11MP) that will comprise and reclamation, surveying, and the construction of a 3.2km gravel road but has not been approved,” he said.

Len added that for the Tanjung Assam Sebemban – Belingan Service Centre Project, it is also implemented in stages.

“Phase 1 comprises land reclamation on a part of the overall project and the construction of a road – including drainage – 1.3km in length which has been completed.

“The work involving the surfacing of the 700m road has been tendered in the middle of June this year and is expected to be completed by the end of 2019,” he said.
