SARIKEI: Students from seven schools in Sarikei have received assistance in the form of school uniforms and shoes from Sarikei MP Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii as part of his initiative to support students in conjunction with the opening of the new 2025 school year.
Huang stated that this assistance aims to ensure students can begin the new school year with proper necessities.
The schools involved are SJKC Siung Hua, SK Selangan, SJKC Minar, SJKC Nam Kiew, SJKC Ming Tak, SK Rentap and SJKC Bulat.
“I hope the welfare of students will be well taken care of through this compassionate initiative. Students need not worry about not having new school uniforms, shoes or school bags,” he said.
Meanwhile, Huang also distributed school uniforms and shoes to students in the Meradong area.
Huang’s representative, Gung Chiu Kion, handed over the school uniforms and shoes to students from SMK Tong Hua, SJKC Tong Hua, SJKC Nang Hua, SJKC Kung Cheng and SK Tulai.
