KUCHING: A state deputy chief minister has urged the Pakatan Harapan (PH)-led federal government to cease blaming the previous government every time it fails to solve national problems.
“PH should cease to be a ‘cry baby’ for its incompetency in administering this country,” said Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr James Jemut Masing.
He said it appeared that the term “previous government” seemed to be “a catch phrase” every time the PH-led federal government failed to administer or go forward in solving the national problems.
Said Masing, “When Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Razak was the prime minister (for nine years), he, too, was besieged with many national problems.
“But I didn’t hear him (Najib) blaming Tun Abdullah (Ahmad Badawi), his immediate predecessor, or (Tun Dr) Mahathir (Mohamad) who ruled Malaysia for 22 years as PM as the cause of his problems.
“He (Najib) solved the problems without putting a blame on any of his predecessors in the best ways possible. “
According to the deputy chief minister, Najib just accepted his responsibilities as PM in ways befitting a true leader of a nation.
He (Najib) did not play a ‘blame game’ for his mistakes or his failures, added Masing.
