KUCHING: Sarawak Skills will hold its Sarawak Skills Tour Programme 2021 in towns throughout the state.
The tour has career counselling and will provide exposure to programmes offered by the Sarawak Skills Group Institution.
“The main objective is to provide information on interesting programmes such as TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) skills certificate/diploma and degree programmes for Form 4, 5 and 6 students as well as the public,” it said on Thursday (Nov 4).
Apart from that, Sarawak Skills also offers financial assistance and other assistance to students, especially the B40 group to encourage youths to continue their education to a higher level.
“Besides the programme information offered, Sarawak Skills will also be opening registration counters, holding career counselling sessions and providing exclusive souvenirs to visitors,” it added.
The Sarawak Skills Tour Programme will take place at eight locations, namely, Lepapa Hypermarket, Serian and Parkcity Mall, Bintulu on November 5 to 7; Medan Hotel, Betong and Oriental Evermore Hotel, Sarikei on November 12 to 14; Wisma Sanyan, Sibu on November 19 to 21; Anjung Rehat, Simunjan on November 26 to 28; Plaza Merdeka, Kuching on December 10 to 12; and Hotel Seri Malaysia, Lawas on November 18.
