KUCHING: The statewide sanitisation exercise carried out by the State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) entered Day 20 on Saturday.
According to a Bomba report, sanitisation began at 9am Saturday and the focus areas in Kuching were Bintawa Chinese Temple, Carmelite Church, St Joseph Cathedral and iCom Square.
In Kapit, sanitisation was carried out at Kapit Division mosque, Kapit Islamic Office, Kampung Muhibbah mosque, Kampung Baru Jamek mosque and Kampung Baru community hall by nine personnel.
Sanitisation was also carried out in Kampung Assyakirin Phase Two, Bintulu
In Lawas, Kampung Batong mosque and Kampung Belangsat mosque were disinfected by ten personnel.
Five areas in Song ― the district sports field, fire station, community hall, SK Nanga Temalat and an elderly activity centre (Pusat Aktiviti Warga Emas) ― were also disinfected.
Saturday’s operation involved 131 personnel from Bomba, local councils and the Health Ministry.
